Delete Account
Effective October 19, 2026
You’re always in control of your Daydream account and can remove it at any time.
Deleting your account does not cancel a membership. Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or the store will keep billing you.
Delete in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is inside Daydream itself. Open Studio or your profile, tap the gear to open Settings, tap Delete account, and confirm.
Delete by email
If you can’t use the app, email us and we’ll process your deletion request. Include your in-app handle, display name, and any other profile details that can help us find the right account. We may ask you to verify your account before we can act on the request.
What deletion does
Deleting your account in the app removes your account data from Daydream’s own systems promptly, then signs you out. If you request deletion by email instead, we verify the request by hand and aim to complete it within 30 days.
Some information remains after deletion:
- Stories you published, and the scenes other players created in them, stay available so their stories keep working. Email us if you want a published story taken down.
- Copies held by our service providers, including analytics and session replay (Amplitude), AI request traces (Langfuse), and purchase records (RevenueCat), may remain. Those providers keep them on their own retention schedules. Email us if you want us to ask them to delete your data too.
- Records we’re required to keep for security, fraud prevention, or other legal reasons, and backups our providers clear on their own schedules.
For more detail on what Daydream processes and why, see the Privacy Policy.
